The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) has unveiled an ambitious agenda to transform Africa into a global producer of energy technologies, securing the backing of President John Dramani Mahama for its flagship Africa Energy Technology Conference.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives have become a central component of corporate strategy and modern capital markets. It thus reflects the growing emphasis on sustainable business practices across the world. Recent industry estimates suggest that global ESG-labelled assets reached between $25 trillion and $34 trillion in 2023–2024 and are projected to grow to approximately $$80–125 trillion by the early 2030s.
COCOBOD is preparing to tap into the domestic bond market and raise up to US$1billion equivalent in cedi-denominated bonds annually, a shift from its decades-long reliance on dollar denominated syndicated loans from foreign banks and offtakers.
