GRIDCo upgrades Kumasi transmission capacity to meet demand

The Ghana Grid Company LTD (GRIDCo) has commenced a major upgrade of the Anwomaso-Kumasi transmission line to increase power transfer capacity to Kumasi from 364 megawatts (MW) to 1,000MW, as part of efforts to meet growing electricity demand in the Ashanti Region.
