The Professional and Management Staff Union (PMSU) of the Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO) has distanced itself from an ongoing demonstration against the government's search for a strategic investor, arguing that the state-owned smelter requires more than US$700 million to restore operations rather than the US$60 million claimed by opponents of the process.
