Falling mining prices drag producer inflation to 3.5% in June

Falling mining and quarrying prices dragged producer inflation down sharply to 3.5 percent in June 2026 from 5.8 percent in May, as a steep decline in the country’s largest industrial sector outweighed renewed cost pressures in manufacturing, utilities, transport and accommodation services.
